je pense pas que ce soit possible inscrit toi sur le forum en question et demande à cet homme si il à encore ce casque ou autre

faut imaginer qu il est descendu sur ces sites là car le gars l'aurait proposé à moins de 500€ ce qui leurs paraissait trop beau pour qu'il soit bon!!!
si qq peux prendre contacte avec les modos du site ou ce type sévit ça m'arrangerait

Je sais pas qui est le vendeur, ni ce qu'il en retourne et à vrai dire, c'est plutôt à toi Greg de t'inscrire et demander des comptes.

Pour ce qui est du fait de "descendre une pièce", ce n'est pas mon style mais je pense que tout acheteur potentiel à le droit de savoir qu'il y a des très gros doutes sur cette pièce (qui pour ma part sont fondés).

Pour finir, le prix auquel tu le proposes est un prix "batard" comme on dit, assez cher mais bien en dessous de la cote pour un objet original de ce type.
Ce qui justifie un tel prix? 2 solutions, soit on est pas sûr de la pièce et on la brade pour en être vite débarrassé, soit c'est une arnaque.

Dans ton cas, je suis sûr que toi aussi tu as un doute sur ce casque et c'est pourquoi tu le mets à ce prix.

Quand au fait de dire que l'avoir acheté 100€ est un gage d'authenticité Rolling Eyes

Pour terminer, pourquoi ne pas jouer la transparence et mettre ici les réponses que tu as eu sur GHW? Pour l'instant, posté sur trois forum et des doutes partout.

I was offered this and then asked by someone else about this one and Id say no. Also for a legit AB medic lid 500 bucks tells me they know its not real.

Le 1RCP n'a pas été garder car pas mon thème du tout et je n'ai aps peur de le dire, il était à prix très attractif, ce qui m'a permis de faire un bel échange. Là où ce n'est pas la même chose qu'ici, c'est que ce casque ne c'est pas fait démonté sur plusieurs forum, bien du contraire.

Bref, il n'est pas question ici du 1 RCP (son propriétaire actuel pourra très certainement confirmer mes dires) mais bien du 502nd.

The helmet was found in the East of France, Champagne-Ardennes region. I know that in general, 101st medics didn't wear the red cross on their helmets but there were a few exceptions.

Hi Greg,

I know a 502nd medic helmet in a private collection with a red cross on the front, belonged to a Captain. I have never seen one like that on a period pic. However, on a well know pic of 2/502nd medic, one of them wears a helmet with red cross on both side without heart.

Helmet looks good so far, surprised no one has asked to see inside shots of the shell, the bales and the chinstrap and if there are any heat stamps. Also anyone done a check on the name? This would help to narrow down authenticity I guess.

Hi Greg, He does not have a picture, but is fairly sure all units had some and not all medical people did. Obscure? It was mostly by choice. I knew a 2nd Div guy, came ashore D+50 as I recall. He was a medic, no indian head, no cross. He did have a nice Luft officer sword and Army dagger but he was giving them to his grandchildren. Could you post pictures of the interior and straps? Bret

Greg, again, nice helmet. I see no glalring problems..or small problems for that matter. Bret PS Shame about the one strap but this design was really quite fragile...thus the swivel bale.

What I mean is that there is a US site that lists all ww2 participants but can't remember the site address. But a bit of googling should find it, will give it a go myself later if no one else can supply the site.

I like the helmet and medics cross but to be honest think that the airborne connection may be a later embellishment. I have a helmet that has the same aged symbol and I know it's a fake, not saying yours is but if the name is correct it will be easy to find. Medics were few compared to GI's and therefor easier to track down .

Ben c'est assez facile, pratiquement toutes les rubriques du forum, notamment celles pour l'identification sont accessibles aux non inscrits, donc piquer des photos ça et là n'est pas difficile.

épilogue (et on en restera là pour ma part, ce casque restera chez moi, je vendrais autre chose...)

ton M1 1er RCP est certainement bon, mais vu l'insigne facilement reproduisible et ajoutant une plus valu, je l’achèterai à 100€ mais à un prix bâtard pour reprendre tes termes je le laisserai ou il est, des coques comme celle là sans insignes et vu le talent des faussaires, tu ne peux être sûr à 100% de son insigne pas vrai?

tu es certainement quelqu'un de sympa, compètent et valable mais ton post à mon égard ne m'a pas plus, et je maintien pour toutes les raisons évoquées.
