| Hello Guys,
sorry for writing in english but i'm italian and i unfortunately don't speak french .
I will be in Normandy from 4 to 7 of june, with a friend of mine.
Our wives have accepted to give us this present (in 2017 we will be 40 years old)
I'd like to receive your advices about what we have to see...museum, war cemetery, locations etc, considering we have only 3 days.
We are looking forward to receive your feedback
Thanks in advance
Simone |

| Hi Simone, That's a great present, I will go to Normandy in June too and I am sure that you will enjoy the region as much as I do ! I would advise you to go for a trip from West to East. As you know, 3 days is a very short time, so you should not waste your time on the road. 1st day: -Utah beach museum (new and nice one). -Airborne museum in Saint-mère église (one of the best in my opinion). -Dead man's corner museum in Saint-Côme-du-Mont (Not too far from Saint-mère église, with an amazing exhibition of fallshirmjager and a nice shop, but expensive one). 2nd day: -The "pointe du Hoc" (Nice place to go for a walk and very impressive) -The battery of Longues sur mer (free, different from the museums and beautiful place). -The cemetery of Colleville sur mer. -Omaha beach or Arromanches beach 3rd day: -Juno beach museum (modern and well done) -Bénouville bridge and museum which looks amazing. -Merville battery (sound effects and C47) If you want to see something else, something "different", you can get to Cherbourg and his museum of the sea. If you have any question, please let me know Christophe |

| Thank you very much for your info titi9523. We are pleased to hear this from you and we'll surely consider your advices. Probably, we will be in Normandy from 4 to 7 There are history events or demonstrations we have absolutely to see in these days? Simone - titi9523 a écrit:

| First, you can get to "Géronimo camp", near the airborne museum which groups a lot of US vehicles and some tanks. On the 4th June, there is an airdrop of men dressed in original military uniform close to Sainte Mère Eglise/Picauville. On the 6th June, there is national ceremony in Utah Beach. I have to admitt that I am not well informed right now ! I give you the program of the events in english, you will find whatever you want ! : http://www.ot-baieducotentin.fr/en/d-day-1944/73rd-d-day-anniversary-may-june-2017-normandy/ Regards, Christophe - simone977 a écrit:

| You had a good list but I advice you to forget the Sainte mere l'église museum, it is a museum for tourist lots of fake, no interest IMO. Go to the Overlord museum in Colleville, the best of normandy for me.
I think there will be some military show during your trip. |

| Dead's man corner museum is great with FJ and the biggest collection of US paratroopers. La cambe german cemetery, biggest in normandy really touching. Mémorial de Montormel, not in the same area and little museum but full of piece found directly on the battlfield. If you go to the Overlord Museum and Dead's man corner museum you will see the best pur there |

| Hi Simone, I agree with cote112, If you will go in FalaisePocket, go in Montormel memorial. Very nice view on the battlefield from the hill, and little museum, where each items have an history. Fred Normand, director, is a friend and nice guy.
Have a good trip ! |
